Cryptocurrency
Unfortunately, all payments must be made using cryptocurrency. I strongly prefer Litecoin or Monero.
What is Cryptocurrency?
For our purposes, crypto is a way to anonymously and securely send me money. You exchange real money for cryptocurrency, send the cryptocurrency to me, and I exchange it for real money.
How do I use it?
For all (most?) of these options you will have to fill out a small quiz proving that you understnad the risks of your "investment" in crypto. Complete these knowing that you will be investing very little, and that no crypto is stable so you could lose all of your investment.
Revolut method
The simplest and instant method. This service will take ~£5 in fees.
Buy Litcoin in the revolut app. Find it in Crypto > Trade > Litecoin > Buy.
Send it using Send > Wallet > Litecoin > Add wallet address, enter my wallet address. Wallet/exchange > Wallet > Revolut. I believe this just just for logging purposes and what you enter doesn't really matter. Save.
Then select the wallet you just added and send your Litecoin.
Kraken method
This method can take over 3 days to verify you, but will only take ~£2 in fees.
Deposit money into Kraken from the app or website. Doing this through Plaid "Easy Bank Transfer" has no fees and is normally processed within the hour. Some banks will prohibit this - check online if your bank has crypto disabled.
There will be holding delays on the money and crypto you have with Kraken the first time. This is normal. When you are able to, buy Litecoin with the GBP you have in Kraken.
When you are able to, Transfer > Withdraw to send the Litecoin to me. You will have to add my wallet address and verify it through your email.
Then select the wallet you just added and send your Litecoin.
Cakewallet/MoonPay method
I believe this method has a £20 minimum, and I am unsure about the time or fees. Any info on this is welcome.
Install the Cakewallet app. Make a Litecoin wallet in Wallets > Create New Wallet > Litecoin > Create New Seed. Make sure to write down the seed as you will be tested on it.
Now access MoonPay through Buy > [enter GBP amount] > Choose a provider > MoonPay. From here you will be taken to the MoonPay website.
When you have Litecoin in a wallet you can send it by pressing Send when viewing the wallet. Add my address and the amount, and press Send.
If GBP amounts are not shown next to crypto ammounts check ≡ > Privacy > Fiat API is Enabled, not Tor only.
If the wallet is not syncing at all check ≡ > MWEB settings > Enable MWEB. Turn it off.
For added security/paranoia you can anonymise the crypto you send by withdrawing the Litecoin to your own Cakewallet. Then swap it within Cakewallet to a Monero wallet. Transfer it from one Monero wallet you control to another and it will no longer be traceable to you. Then either send me Monero or swap it back to a fresh Litecoin wallet.
